Inclusion north have produced an easy read booklet to help you know more about friendships.
As you may be aware it is almost learning disability awareness week.
This year we are focusing on the importance of friendships and relationships for people with a learning disability, and highlighting the fact that too many people are still living isolated from their communities – in fact we found that a third of young people (aged 18-35) spend less than an hour a day outside their home!
Sunderland People first will be in the main reception at City Hospitals Sunderland on the 20th of June between 12.30pm and 2.30pm, please pop along to see them all
We are delighted to include our most recent easy read leaflet which will help you to understand what to expect when going along to the Endoscopy unit at Sunderland Royal for a procedure.
