Sunderland clinical commissioning group felt that the work that had been carried out to provide this website was really good and that we should put in for an award.
The website was one of three nominations in the Patient Champion Catorgory for the North East Leadership Academy Awards at the Baltic in Newcastle yesterday.
Althought we did not win the overall award we were runners up and delighted to recieve the recognition.
We met Simon Weston who presented the awards and was a fantastic speaker and an inspiration to us all!
I would just like to extend my thanks again to Gillian Jackson and all the members of the Patient forum who make this website accessible to all.
We are pleased to let you know thats lots of new information has been added today!
